Would you like to be confirmed?

You are invited to think about being a Confirmed Catholic.  Each year in our Family of Parishes we celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation and assist those young people as well as their families to prepare for the reception of the Holy Spirit at Confirmation.

We will be celebrating Confirmation on Sunday, December 11, 2022.  The Sacrament will be celebrated at two Masses that will be celebrated at both Our Lady of the Atonement and St. John Vianney Churches that Sunday.  It is the Third Sunday of Advent – the Joyful Sunday – and we consider this a wonderful time to ask the Holy Spirit to bestow upon those prepared the seven gifts that he imparts to those who believe and open themselves to receiving the Sacrament.

There will be two Parent and Candidate Meetings to be held on Wednesday, September 14^th, 2022, at 6:30 pm. at Our Lady of the Atonement Church and on Thursday, September 15^th, 2022, at 6:30 pm. at St. John Vianney Church.  Parent (Guardian) and Candidate for Confirmation are required to attend one of these meetings.

We would like to have as many young people as possible take part in this important faith decision to be confirmed.  If you are going to be in Grade 8 or older – you are eligible.  Consider being a part of this year’s Preparation Classes.  There will be a combination of youth gatherings as well as a take home program.

If you would like to be confirmed please fill out the Registration Form included and return it to the Parish Office at the Atonement Family Centre, 2940 Forest Glade Drive.
